New Clients

Thank you for considering Five Elements Veterinary Alternatives for your pet’s health care.  We are a complementary and/or alternative veterinary medical practice.  While many medical conditions respond extremely well to these modalities, there is a time and a place for conventional, Western veterinary medical care.  The doctors and staff at Five Elements Veterinary Alternatives do not provide urgent care/emergency services, surgery or sedation, dentistry or advanced labwork or monitoring of chronic medical conditions.  For more information on conditions we treat click here.

All new patients are required to receive a one-hour initial consult with the doctor.  While you may request a specific doctor, we do our best to match patients to doctors based on their treatment specialties and availability.  The doctor’s initial consult fee of $150 is collected upfront when your appointment is scheduled and is required to secure your appointment.  This consult fee may only be refunded if you choose to cancel your initial visit at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.  Please note that late cancellations for initial consults will not be refunded.

During the initial consult, the doctor will examine your pet and review any past history including bloodwork or radiographs that are relevant to the case and make treatment or diagnostic recommendations.  Once the doctor has made a treatment plan, you may request an itemized estimate for proposed treatments and diagnostics if desired.  Any treatments or diagnostics performed at that visit will be charged at checkout on the day of the appointment.  Follow up visits for treatments range from $70-$150 with medications in addition.

We do not provide online scheduling at this time.  Please call us to schedule an appointment at 402-614-6075  and select option 2 to leave a message.  A staff member will return your call within 1-2 business days to schedule your appointment and email you the new client form.  Please complete this form electronically and email back to us prior to your first appointment.  Please let us know if you need assistance with this process.  In addition, please request that your pet’s records, including radiographs, be transferred from your traditional vet or bring them with you.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
